EG sweep through Talon, ending SEA hopes for Berlin Major title

Evil Geniuses once again destroy their opponents, sweeping through Talon 2:0 at ESL One Berlin Major.

In a day where each game would lead to elimination, the second series was another 2:0 sweep.

Evil Geniuses have been making quick work of their opponents in the lower bracket.

While Talon also overpowered PSG.LGD 2:0 earlier in the playoffs, they had to work much harder to do so.

This gave fans an entertaining first match and a quick second when these two teams went head-to-head.

Evil GeniusesvsTalon Esports 2:0

In the first match of the series, Talon had a solid start but back-to-back bad team fights for both teams about 41 minutes in turned things around for Evil Genuises and allowed them to seize the base with a T4 force. This would end up being a pivotal sequence as at that point EG just started crushing Talon there on until the end to take the victory.

Riding on the momentum, the second game of the series was overwhelmingly in EG's favor. Talon didn't have strong enough lanes and almost immediately everything went wrong for them. Evil Geniuses had such smooth and fluid mobility, they were able to just bully Talon at every turn. The game lasted 25 minutes.

Talon exits the ESL One Berlin Major, taking away all hopes for a SEA Major title. They do, however, walk away in 7-8th place with $12,500 and 200 DPC points, moving them into 3rd place overall in the DPC rankings.

EG will move ahead in the lower brackets to face OG tomorrow at 12:00 CEST.

The action today continues with one more lower-bracket elimination series:
