TL;DR week 2 DPC 2021-22 season - EU chronicle

The second week of the DPC 2021-22 season winter tour has come to an end and this week we look at what has been going on in Europe.

This is the third week of the DPC 2021-22 season winter tour, marking the halfway point for the first season of the new Dota 2 year.

We head over to Western Europe to take a look at how some of the biggest roster shuffles and shakeups are fairing so far.

The games have been quite intense in this neck of the woods and we've seen some spectacular plays and some high quality/long-lasting games. (We highly recommend checking out the VOD for game 3 of  OGvsTeam Liquid

Team Liquid is at the head of the class with a 3:0 series/6:2 game record. The roster is looking hot with Lasse Aukusti "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen in the lineup. Of all the EU roster shakeups, this is looking to be the strongest one out of the gate.

Tundra Esports and Team Tickles have both been showing up to prove they can play with the big boys in Division 1. Tundra continues to showcase their versatility and creative drafts and overpower their opponents. This team is definitely out for Major early on and if they keep up on the momentum from post-TI qualifiers last year and the start of the new season, they are prime candidates to land a spot at TI11.

OG's fresh new lineup is proving to be a formidable and worthy successor to the back-to-back TI champions banner. Although they are sitting in the middle of the pack, Artem "Yuragi" Golubiev was deathless in the DPC, ending week one with an impressive 28-0-22 K/D/A. There is so much to keep an eye on with this roster and high hopes for their future.

Nigma Galaxy fans were dealt a blow when the team announced that Roman "rmN-" Paley would be standing in for Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi. Since then they haven't won a single match and round out the Division 1 rankings in last place. It seems to be on-brand for the team to be unable to adapt to changes and subs in their roster but Miracle- is expected to return to the ranks this week in the series against OG. They need to start to pull off some wins with their full roster or they will be relegated to Division II for next season.

Alliance is in the same boat as Nigma but their only hope will be to see improvements in their gameplay and synergy —there is no Miracle- (pun intended) waiting in the wings for them.

Only the top five teams from Division I will earn DPC points. The sixth-placed team will get to keep its spot in the league, while those finishing in the 7th/8th place will be relegated into Division II for the next Tour.

Division II

Division II has a total prize pool of $75,000 and no DPC points to offer, but those placing top two at the end of the Winter Tour will promote into Division I for the next Tour.
