Vici Gaming storm into North America by signing the isGG roster

The Chinese organization has decided to expand to the Americas by adding a North American division called VGJ.Storm, featuring the likes of StanKing, Sneyking, 747, Ritsu and FLEE.

After a rather disappointing year for both of the Vici Gaming rosters, with no significant results apart from a Top 8 finish at the Kiev Major by VG.J, the Chinese organization has made the decision to expand outside its borders with the signing of isGG, an up and coming North American team. The team features a mix between known names of the North American scene such as Eric '747' Dong and Stanley 'StanKing' Yang, rising talent in the shape of Francis 'FLEE' Lee as well as a throwback to Team Dignitas days with Jingjun 'Sneyking' Wu. Directing the team will be none other than perhaps China's most loved personality - a man of diverse talents, being a translator, host, analyst as well as a memeologist - Jack 'KBBQ' Chen!

The J of VG.J, Jeremy Lin, NBA's famous basketball player and Honorary Captain of the two teams shared a few words about the new lineup:

I'm excited for the new VGJ Teams! The synergy and what we can learn from each other is invaluable and will help us compete at the highest level in Dota 2.

Captain of the team, StanKing, also had a few words to say regarding his new organization:

We are incredibly grateful for the support of such a professional organization. Falling just short during TI7 qualifiers is motivating us to work harder than ever to becoming the best. Looking forward to this year with the teams!

The current roster, formerly known as isGG, is surely not the best North American team out there, but the reformed lineup will focus their attentions in taking the region by storm. With three players missing out a spot at this year's International by a slight margin, placing 3rd in the North American qualifiers, the new team more recently also secured first place in the ROG MASTERS 2017 Americas Regional Qualifier, for which they will be heading to the LAN Finals soon. You can catch them in action in the King's Cup tonight where they will face teams of the likes of compLexity Gaming and Infamous for a shot at qualifying for the regional qualifiers for the Beyond the Summit minor.

Team VG J.Storm:

United States Ravindu 'Ritsu' Kodippili
United States Eric '747' Dong
United States Jingjun 'Sneyking' Wu
United States Francis 'FLEE' Lee
United States Stanley 'StanKing' Yang
