While 2017 saw Synderen go through many teams; Ninjas in Pyjamas, Crescendo and Escape Gaming late last year, he’s back once again with some new – and old – faces.
Troels ‘syndereN’ Nielsen is no stranger to the professional Dota scene, having played the game since its predecessor’s days in 2008 at a professional level. While most of us know him mainly as a caster, he often manages to put together a band of fairly familiar faces and attempt to take the Dota 2 scene by storm. Last year he almost managed to do this with Escape Gaming as they took home 2nd place at DreamLeague Season 6. Unfortunately, that would be their highest honor as they would ultimately disband shortly after this.
This didn’t stop the Dane, who moved on to 3 more teams in the lead up to The International 7, before unfortunately failing to qualify with Cresendo and claiming his spot on the casting desk. But with the new Major/Minor system now in place, syndereN has returned with a new team, with familiar faces once more but some new ones too. The team is as follows;
Anas ‘MagE-‘ Hirzallah
Adrian ‘Era’ Kryeziu
Jonas ‘jonassomfan’ Lindholm
Simon ‘Handsken’ Haag
Troels ‘syndereN’ Nielsen
The team is currently unnamed but that will surely change soon.
It will be an interesting roster to see perform together as MagE- has had little to no “big stage” experience like the rest of the team. With a solo MMR of around 8.5k though, he will surely be able to prove his worth in the midlane role and cement his position on this squad. That aside, we wish them all the luck going forward and hope to see some fantastic results for them in the near future.
