TnC are the first SEA team to make it to TI 7

TnC beat Fnatic in a game which was to decide who would take top spot in the SEA TI 7 qualifiers.

After two grueling days of Dota 2 in The International 2017 SEA regional qualifiers, it all came down to a decisive game between the two best teams in the mix. TnC and Fnatic stood at the top with a record of 7-1, with only each other to play against. The winner would top the group and get a direct pass to Seattle to play in at The International 7. And it was TNC, lead by Theeban '1437' Siva, that came out on top!

TNC did their homework and banned the Necrophos, Venomancer and Bloodseeker. Odd heroes to ban, right? But those are the heroes Fnatic have been banking on to win them the games. Fnatic then turned to the Bristleback to get them through and TNC went for the Drow strat with three ranged cores to do the hard hitting with the drow aura. And hard hitting was exactly what they did! The first curve ball TNC threw was putting the Queen of Pain in the offlane and Puck in the midlane against the Outworld Devourer. Kuku 'Kuku' Carlo Palad's Puck destroyed QO's OD in the midlane, even though he had Febby on the Io to back him up. In the other two lanes, TNC switched it up perfectly to give Ohaiyo's Bristleback a hard time and throughout the game, he never seemed like the unkillable beast he usually is.

There were a brief few minutes where it seemed Fnatic might make a comeback when they managed to get a few kills. AhJit, the only Fnatic member who had a decent game, showed some presence of mind to chase the QoP with her mirror image and get a kill on to SamH. But it was short lived as TNC got back on the wrecking train and took the game in 31 minutes. It was a such a dominant performance that at the end, the networth difference was 29k (that's about 1k for every minute). Kuku was the clear MVP of the game with 17 kills and some amazing Puck plays. Their coach, Kips, was over the moon as well!

This is how the group looks like right now:

TNC will packing their bags as Fnatic will battle with out with Mineski, Clutch Gamers and either of Execration or Faceless for the last two spots from SEA. Execration and Faceless, both with a score of 5-4, will play a tie breaker to determine which team goes ahead in the second phase of the group stages.

TNC made a mark at TI 6 last year as they beat tournament favorites OG. Will they be able to pull of something similar this year? It reamains to be seen!
