TI7 open qualifiers have officially come to a close for SEA, NA, SA, EU and CIS regions. Chinese qualifiers are still underway, set to finish today.
After a grueling four days of long hours and sometimes even longer waiting times, the TI7 regional qualifier teams have been set in five of the six regions. Moogle (SEA), Double Dimension (CIS), Planet Dog (EU), Guess (NA), Colombia DotA and Union Gaming Boliva (SA) will forge ahead in the regional qualifiers, hoping to make a dramatic splash into the regional scene and even bigger waves on the international circuit.
China will round out the teams for the regional qualifiers today as Newbee Young and Team Max will face off in the grand finals ccurrently in progress.
SEA Open qualifiers #2:
Moogle cleaned up the brackets with a tidy 2:0 sweep at the end of the day. The Singaporean team boasts well known players such as Galvin "Meracle" Kang Jian Wen, Wilson "Poloson" Koh Chin Wei stacked with teammates from prior stints with First Departure.
SEA regional qualifiers format:
Phase one:
10 teams - Round Robin group, bo1
1st place qualify to TI 7
2nd to 5th place advance to phase two
Phase two:
4 teams - GSL bracket, bo3 series
Upper Bracket winners qualify to TI 7
Lower Bracket winners qualify to TI 7
Three teams total will see the stage at Key Arena for TI7
CIS Open qualifiers #2:
Led by veteran CIS player Dmitry "UnderShock" Bolshakov who has been in the scene since 2013, Double Dimension dominated the grand finals in both of their matches.
CIS regional qualifiers format:
Phase one:
10 teams - Round Robin group, bo 1
Top 4 advance in phase two
Phase two:
4 teams - Double Elimination bracket, bo3 series
Grand finals are bo5 - winners qualify to TI7
Only one team will grace the stage of TI7
EU Open qualifiers #2:
After unexpected circumstances thrust the European team into the open qualifiers after losing one player and their organization, Planet Dog battled it out into the first set of grand finals only to lose to Cool Beans, the fully stacked European organized by Jonathan "Loda" Berg. The ex-Prodota Gaming team then seized the second shot, trampling all in their path and cleaning house to reclaim a place in the regionals.

10 teams - Round Robin group, bo1
1st place qualify to TI 7
2nd to 5th place advance to phase two
Phase two:
4 teams - Double Elimination bracket, bo3 series
Grand finals are bo5, winner qualify to TI 7
Two teams will head to Seattle, Washington for the big event
NA Open qualifiers #2:
The NA mix featuring Michael "ixmike88" Ghannam, Mark "Tralf" Seidl and Will "WwD" Davis overwhelmed their opponents in two relatively easy games for them.

1st place qualify to TI 7
2nd to 5th place advance to phase two
Phase two:
4 teams - Double Elimination bracket, bo3 series
Grand finals are bo5, winner qualify to TI 7
Two teams will be awarded a place among the best at TI7
SA Open qualifiers #2:
The only region to be bringing in more than 2 teams from the open qualifiers, South America saw three teams reach the second step last night.
