After two successful editions in Southeast Asia, MR.Cat Invitational boosts the prize pool to $50,000 and kicks off their first European online tournament.
The Mr.Cat Invitational Europe will run through the first three weeks of May in two stages: a qualifier double elimination bracket round, followed by Playoffs bracket, also played in the double elimination format. The playoffs will feature only four teams, from which Virtus Pro and Team Secret got direct invites to this leg of the competition. They will be joined by two more teams coming from the qualifiers bracket. The qualifiers will commence today, May 2 with eight European and CIS squads looking to reach the finals.

The qualifiers stage starts today, and will run until the 12th of May. Playoffs will begin the next day and will unfold until the 18th of May when the grand finals are scheduled to take place. The entire tournament will be broadcast by joinDOTA on their twitch.tv channel.
