The Dota Pit Season 5 regional qualifiers are nearly over, with five teams having already claimed their tickets for Split, Croatia.
The American competition ended last night with Evil Geniuses coming out on top in the grand finals against NP.
NP started the night strong, taking the first game of the finals with a carry Centaur Warrunner for Kurtis 'Aui_2000' Ling, but found themselves defeated in the next three games by a Medusa-Warlock- Venomancer strategy coming from EG’s captain Andreas Franck 'Cr1t-' Nielsen. Although the finals score was 3-1 in EG’s favor, the series was quite intense and hard fought by NP who pushed three of the four games over 50 minutes. The only matchup ending before the 30 minute mark was the third game of the series where Saahil 'UNiVeRsE' Arora put on a show with Clockwerk.
With the American qualifiers completed, Dota Pit Season 5 has only one bracket left to be played. Europe 1 competition is still waiting for a schedule to be confirmed. It might be a while before the last team to travel to Split Croatia next year is be decided as Europe 1 bracket features Alliance and OG. While Alliance is preparing now to travel to Canada for Northern Arena BEAT Invitational (starting this Thursday), OG will be on the road next week as they have The Summit 6 booked in their schedule from 16th to 20th of November.
