Another qualifier down, as Team NP and compLexity Gaming secured their tickets to the Boston Major. Infamous fell short, but showed their gusto in a hard fought match against the latter.
Continuing their insane run from the group stage, Team NP defeated counterparts compLexity Gaming with a strong 2-0 in the upper bracket. Despite the recent drama surrounding team captain, Jacky 'EternalEnvy' Mao, the memes, and the doubters, Team NP proved them all wrong, as they now sit secured with their tickets to the Boston Major in December. While a relatively new organization, the players themselves are no stranger to the Major scene, and it will be interesting to see how Team NP stacks up against the likes of their invited NA counterparts: EG and DC.
While the upcoming Major lacks a number of big names such as Fnatic, Alliance, and Natus Vincere, coL are safe as they defeated Infamous 2-1 in the lower bracket. coL took a strong 2-0 over FDL in the first round of the upper bracket, but stumbled against Team NP. However, coL showed their resilience as they took down Infamous after losing a shaky game one in the lower bracket final. In game two and three, coL buckled down with two solid drafts around Mihai 'canceL^^' Antonio's Kunkka and Zakari 'ZfreeK' Freedman's Mirana; the two absolutely terrifying with their rotations. Notable as well for Infamous were Renato 'Kingteka' Garcia's Void and Benjamin 'Benjaz-' Lanao Barrios' Luna, both playing phenomenally, showing that Infamous are a force to be reckoned with.
