MarsTV Dota 2 League: IG.V and LGD.FY qualify for the main event

Two 2-0s later, IG.V and LGD.FY have secured themselves a slot at the MarsTV Dota 2 League LAN finals a week from now.

Surviving the Chinese qualifier's double elimination bracket, IG.Vitality and LGD.Forever Young (Zhang 'Xiao8' Ning's team) has taken the last two slots at the MarsTV Dota 2 League LAN finals. These two teams will be joined by OG, Secret, MVP.P, EG, Vici Gaming, and Newbee at the LAN finals, which will be taking place between the 28th of September and 2nd of October.

During the eight teams' time at the LAN finals, they will be battling in a group stage and playoff stage for the $250,000 prize pool.

In most of the four games played, IG.V and LGD.FY showed a preference in drafting line-ups with a late game edge and early game gank ability. In IG.V's two games, they drafted the same core combo, opting for a Terrorblade, Juggernaut and Batrider, which resulted in a late game victory in game one and a 30 minute victory in game two, utilizing both the late game potential and tower pushing ability of the line-up.

After failing to take down IG.V, VG.J (Bai 'rOtK' Fan's team) faced up against LGD.FY in the lower bracket finals. Unfortunately for them, they lost 0-2 once again. VG.J stood a decent chance at victory in game one, but were unable to end the game quickly enough and succumbed to LGD.FY's Morphling at the 45th minute - the Morphling ended the game with 20 kills, about triple of LGD.FY's average kills. VG.J's lost was much faster in game two, and is a result of their struggle to trade evenly against LGD.FY's aggression, which involved several tier two tower dives before taking tier one towers.
