Xboct goes on an indefinite hiatus

The renowned CIS carry Xboct has announced that he will be taking an extended break from competitive Dota.

As the fall season drop period comes to a close and the join period begins, Alexander 'XBOCT' Dashkevich announced on Twitter that he will be opting out of competitive Dota for the Fall season and maybe more. Failing to make the cut for Virtus.Pro's final roster last month, and leaving Fantastic Five when the drop period started (XBOCT was officially on Fantastic Five last season but played for Team Spirit), XBOCT will be going into hiatus as a free agent.

Having a Dota2 career going all the way back to the very first International, XBOCT is one of the most experienced CIS carry to date. Over the hyper-aggressive carry player's six years in the scene, he has achieved a podium finish at several international LAN events, most notably with NA'VI at The Internationals 1, 2 and 3; as a testament to these results, XBOCT's total tournament winnings stand at $651,000. However, after the dissolution of NA'VI's 2013-2014 roster, the team hit a road block, struggling to return to their former glory.

In recent years, XBOCT has found it difficult to stay on a stable well-performing roster and hence joined and left several teams. Unable to find a stable roster for most of this year, XBOCT has been under the radar for quite some time.
