Viruts.Pro settles on their roster after making some adjustments to their trial roster by picking up Pavel '9Pasha' Hvastunov and Roman 'Ramzes666' Kushnarev.
Making use of the pre-The International lull in tournaments, Virtus.Pro took their time and rebuilt their team. Only six days ago a preliminary roster was announced, and just recently, the organization has finalized their lineup, choosing to replace Alexander 'XBOCT' Dashkevich and Sergey 'God' Bragin from June's roster with Roman 'Ramzes666' Kushnarev and Pavel '9Pasha' Hvastunov.
Virtus.Pro's statement on Facebook:
Vladimir 'No[o]ne' Minenko
Alexei 'Solo' Berezin
Ilya 'Lil' Ilyuk
Roman 'Ramzes666' Kushnarev
Pavel '9pasha' Hvastunov
These players will participate in a tournament in August. Additional information on the tournament will be revealed soon.”
9Pasha and Ramzes666 are relatively newer players in the CIS scene, having attracted international attention within the last year. Ramzes666 is a 17 year old carry player who arose after making multiple plays at several LAN events during his time with Team Spirit early this year. As for 9Pasha, he is most well-known for his time with Vega late last year, winning first place at ESL One New York and third place at the Global eSports Cup in October and December respectively.
2016 has been a hard year for the Virtus.Pro Dota2 squad as they have been facing poor results and large roster changes. Notable changes this year includes the departure of Ilya 'Lil' Ilyuk and Alexandr 'DKPhobos' Kucherya - two players who were in VP's TI5 roster - in March, and a complete overhaul of their Dota2 team after they failed to qualify for The International 6; the entire team and managerial staff were released.
