With just over two months remaining before ESL One Frankfurt's LAN event, Swedish team Alliance are the first to receive an invite
After their first place finish at the Starladder|i-League tournament and strong performances at various other tournaments, Alliance has become the first to receive a direct invite to the ESL One Frankfurt LAN event planned for the 18th and 19th of of June.
At the time of this announcement, the European and SEA qualifiers have either started or will be starting in a few days, and details for the Chinese and American qualifiers have yet to be released. The winners of these qualifiers will fill five of the eight main event invites, with a slot reserved for each of the qualifiers and two slots for the European qualifiers; the three remaining places are expected to be filled via direct invites.
ESL One Frankfurt is a tournament featuring a LAN event, a $250,000 prize pool, and has historically been one of the largest non-Valve affiliated Dota2 event. Taking place at roughly the same time each year, the tournament has traditionally been one of the final LANs before The International.
