Current standings from The International 5 day 3

CDEC are guaranteed a spot in the upper bracket and Cloud9 are one win away from being so as well while IG and Na'Vi are both doomed to the lower brackets.

CDEC can rest easy after finishing top in their group at the end of today, with this result, it is mathematically impossible for them to be placed below top four in their group, hence securing them a slot in the upper bracket at the main event. Cloud9 are also nearly above the "upper bracket threshold", only needing to take one game off Complexity.

As for teams who are guaranteed to start in the lower bracket, there are IG and Na'Vi, the bottom two teams of group A. In group B, not a single team guaranteed to be in the lower bracket, however it is highly unlikely for Newbee and MVP.Hot6ix  to  proceed to the upper bracket as they not only have to win all four of their games tomorrow but also pray that the results of the other teams are in their favor.

SEA and CIS fans will not be too pleased with today's results, with the only one remaining CIS team with results good enough to be seeded in the winner's bracket being Virtus.Pro, and with all SEA teams having a very slim chance to making it to the upper bracket.

Plays of the day:

Perfect execution was required for this play that started off with a vacuum by Dark Seer. The wombo combo devastated LGD and prevented the Chinese powerhouse from dealing fatal damage by taking a set of rax, in addition, it also bought Na'Vi a few more precious minutes to farm up.

MVP.Phoenix's Ember buys a Rapier and presses "W". IG fans spam BibleThump.

Newbee starts a fight against Empire which quickly escalates, little did Newbee know about the Magnus in the trees. Without a blink, Magnus skewers out of the trees, catching two in the skewer and four in the RP.
