Alliance and Virtus.Pro secure their way to the MLG LAN finals

After battling against twelve top European teams in a double elimination bracket, Virtus.Pro and Alliance are the victors of the MLG seaon 5's European qualifiers.

Virtus.Pro and Alliance will be joining Empire, EG and Team MY at the MLG season 5 LAN finals to be held at the X Games in Austin, Texas on June 5th to 7th. In order to qualify for this season of MLG, both teams fought in a double elimination bracket with twelve top European teams and managed to secure themselves first and second place. The third European team also qualifying has yet to be decided.

In order to secure the invite, Alliance had to play against BBC whereas Virtus.Pro had to face up against NiP. Both teams did very well against their opponent, besting them 2-0 after having 2-0'ed their previous opponent.

Currently, there are four teams left in the qualifiers, they will be battling it out for their tournament lives in the loser brackets. The favorites to take the final spot is NiP who have a history of beating the remaining teams, having 2-0 BBC and 2-1 Vega; this advantage will only come into effect once NiP overcome what is arguably their biggest obstacle, London Conspiracy. LDCN have been on a hot streak recently, winning their past six official games and having a 86% win rate this month, however, NiP will be the strongest opponent they have faced so far. Vega Squadron are also pulling weight lately and can surprise. Balkan Bears, after recent roster uncertainties, are unlikely to qualify.
