Dream League Season 3 takes a break for The Summit 3

The Dream League Season 3 is a third of the way through and is going on a planned hiatus for a period of six days to avoid time clash with The Summit 3. From the results so far, Empire seems to have started hot whilst Na'Vi and Alliance are not doing as good.

Having started on the fourth of May, the round robin for Dream League Season 3 is going on a planned six day break, presumably to give space to The Summit 3 LAN finals. The round robins will resume with NiP vs Virtus.Pro on the 19th of May 18:30 CEST.

Although nothing is confirmed yet by the results, the general trend of how teams will perform in this group can be predicted. Empire is off to a hot start, not dropping a single game in the three series they have played, most notable is their 2-0 against Na'Vi, a team who has taken down teams like Team Tinker (2-0) and Virtus.Pro (1-0) in the past. With this being said, it must be noted that Empire has yet to play against the more proven teams in the group like NiP and Virtus.Pro, both team who have an impressive list of tournament achievements this year.

As for teams who are not doing very well, there is Basically Unknown and Alliance. Both Basically Unknown and Alliance have mediocre results and have played most of their games, Alliance is 7-5 while Basically Unknown is 1-7. However, since the top six advance, it is highly unlikely that Alliance's bad result will affect their chances to move on, but for Basically Unknown who desperately need wins, their situation is bleak as they have to face up against NiP and Burden United, two teams who have shown their potential in this group stage with both of them taking games off Alliance (BU 2-0 and NiP 1-1), a team which beat Basically Unknown 2-0.
