The thrid qualifiers of the i-League #3 are about to beign, with it featuring top SEA teams like Team MY and MVP.Phoenix battling it out for their spot at the i-League lan finals to be held in Shanghai, China.
After the start of the American and European qualifiers for i-League #3, the third and final non-Chinese qualifer is schduled to begin today. The SEA qualifiers will be played out in a similar format to the other two before it, an eight team best of three single elimination bracket, the winner will qualify for the i-League #3 lan finals held in Shanghai, China on the 19th of May and will join LGD and Alliance among the qualified teams. The first game that will be played today is at 13:00 CET featuring Can't Say Wips vs Arcanys Gaming.
Team MY seems have been putting up the strongest performance out of all the teams in the qualifiers, being on a ten game win streak, taking down top SEA teams like MVP.Phoenix (2-1 and 1-0), CSW (2-0 and 1-0) and Signature.Trust (2-0 and 2-0). This great performance has resulted in this team qualifying for quite a few international lans recently like Starladder 12 and the Red Bull Battle Grounds.
Other teams who have been putting up a relatively strong performance recently are MVP.Phoenix and Signature.Trust. Signature.Trust has shown in their recent games that they can occasionally take games of top SEA teams like MVP.Phoenix (2-1) and CSW (1-0). As for MVP.Phoenix, they have shown that they are capable to taking down teams which are considered top tier in the global scene, having defeat EG at MLG Columbus 1-0 in their recent games; the team have also shown that they are capable of taking games off Team MY having nearly defeated them in the Starladder 12 SEA qualifiers 2-1.
