In a series of tweets today, Team Secret, Evil Genuises and Cloud 9 have all officially announced that they will be not be competing in the WePlay Season 3 qualifiers. The qualifiers were expected to begin sometime over the upcoming month.
UPDATE: Now Ninjas in Pyjamas have joined the exodus after announcing on Twitter that they are also withdrawing from the tournament.
Earlier today Team Secret, Evil Genuises and Cloud9 announced that they will not be taking part in the WePlay Dota2 League Season 3 due to the ongoing delays and failure to meet numerous start dates. Cloud 9's Conrad Janzen went into detail claiming the delays had caused a conflict in their schedule.
WePlay Dota2 League Season 3 was announced September 2014 with a base prize pool of $200,000 with compendium sales also contributing to the prize pool. It was supposed to start in October of last year with a very ambitious format, but the tournament ran into a series of delays and disruption with the tournament delayed until further notice. The LAN finals were scheduled for May, but with the top tier teams dropping out, the tournament could be under threat once more. There has been no official statement from the organizers yet.
