BTS announces DAC casting line-up

Casting studio BeyondTheSummit has announced its line-up for the upcoming DAC coverage. DotaCinema casters SUNSfan and syndereN, WinteR, as well as TheGDStudio's Bruno and Weppas are all travelling to Los Angeles to to provide a show worthy of the event.

BeyondTheSummit has just announced their coverage plans for the upcoming DAC main stage. Due to visa issues, the studio was unable to fly out their whole crew to Shanghai, China and has thus decided to provide coverage from their own studio. They will however not be alone. DotaCinema's Shannon 'SUNSfan' Scotten and Troels 'syndereN' Nielsen, as well as Malaysian player Litt Bin 'WinteR' Chan will be brought in to provide an additional set of casters that can cover the large amount of games, considering that three matches are played simultaneously. In addition, Johan 'Weppas' Westberg will be coming in to serve as dedicated observer and Bruno 'StatsmanBruno' Carlucci will add his personal charm to the production.

Statement by David 'GoDz' Parker:

"We’re really disappointed that we couldn’t be on site in Shanghai for the LAN finals broadcast. While the plan from day one was to push to get all casters to China for the broadcast, we were met with the unfortunate roadblock in that we couldn’t obtain Visas in the short timeframe after being invited to the LAN finals on short notice. We worked with Perfect World to try find a solution, but ultimately we both reached the conclusion the best option would be having BTS handle the production remotely. We’re very confident that what we have planned for the community and viewers will be a great experience for an event of this magnitude."

While they won't have any casting team on site, BeyondTheSummit has sent out both Andrew 'Zyori' Campbell and Ken 'Hot_Bid' Chen to provide coverage on site in form of interviews. Russian studio StarLadderTV is in the same boat as BTS and will not have any casters on site.

The DAC main event is set to begin on January 28th with the Wildcard playoffs determining the two remaining teams for the groupstages, which will commence the day after. Check out our results, teams and VODs here.
