From tomorrow onwards, 16 teams from Asia will face off in a five day long round robin to decide the teams which 4 teams will directly qualify for the Dota2 Asia Championship.
The qualifiers will be played out in a best of two sixteen team round robin format that will take place from the 10th of Janurary till the 15th, the top four teams will be invited to the main event whilst the 5th and 6th place teams will be given a spot in the wild card qualifiers. The match that will be kicking off the round robin will be Big God vs Invasion eSports, taking place on the 5th of January at 5:00 (CET/ GMT+1).
The groups for the Dota2 Asia Championship features a mix of top SEA and Chinese teams clashing for their chance at the $1,500,000+ prize pool. In this qualifier, both EHOME and Can't Say Wips will be looking to prove themselves; EHOME will want to prove that they can maintain the stellar performance they put up at the D2L lan finals whereas Can't Say Wips will want to show that they can hold themselves against strong Chinese teams such as CDEC.
