DotaPit Season 3 announced with $80,000+ and Compendium

The third season of DotaPit has been announced and this time around the online league will feature a starting prizepool of $80,000 with a crowdfunding option that features a Compendium.

The DotaPit League is back for a third season and has increased its prizepool. The tournament is set to feature a prizepool of at least $80,000, with the community being able to contribute to it once again. This time around however, a compendium will be available to be purchased, as well as a separate treasure chest and a set. All three options will let fans contribute to the overall prizepool, with 25% of compendium sales, which also includes cosmetic items, and 10% of both treasure chest and set sales adding up to the final prizepool.

The overall teamlist may have decreased, but certainly not lost in quality. 10 teams have been invited, with two more spots open through qualifiers. The overall 12 teams will then be split into two groups, which will play out a round-robin bo2 format. The last placed team of each group will be eliminated with the top two being seeded into the upper bracket. The 3rd-5th placed teams of each group will be put into the lower bracket.
