Starladder Season XI resumes this week

Starladder Season XI will be resuming this week, with the SEA, Chinese and European divisions restarting their matches after a two week hiatus. The Chinese group stage restarted yesterday, while the SEA and European divisions resumed today.

The Chinese division continues with VG leading the standings before their trip to The Summit, and will be playing out their matches over the next two days. On the other hand, Chinese giants IG have not been perforrming well despite having BurNing standing in for Chuan. The most interesting match-up will take place tomorrow at 12:15 CET, with VG going up against LGD, who are currently 3-0 in the standings. The top four teams of the Chinese division will enter the regional playoffs, to compete for two positions to the LAN finals in Kiev, Ukraine.

In the SEA division, the competition for the top four places remains fierce, with First Departure, Invasion and Rave almost guaranteed their spots in the regional finals. Surprisingly, Execration, who had made it to the LAN finals in Kiev last season, have lost all their matches in the group stage this season and have already been eliminated from the regional playoffs. The top four teams will play in a double elimination bracket for one spot at the LAN finals in Kiev.

Finally, in the 16-strong European division, the top four teams will be slotted directly into the LAN finals in Kiev. With many of the teams yet to play a single match, this division will be going on furriously over the next few weeks.

The LAN finals will take place at Cyberarena in Kiev, Ukraine, from Jan 15- 18. The current prize pool stands at $113,000 and the winner will take a grand total of 45% of the prizepool. In case you had missed out on the action frorm the first week of matches, check out our recaps of the European division and SEA divisions
