DreamLeague kicks off with MVP.Phoenix vs Virtus.pro

DreamLeague kicks off today with the top two teams from the group stages of each region fighting for a spot in DreamHack Winter, and ultimately the first place prize of $40 000. MVP vs. Virtus.pro will kick things off in a bo2.

DreamLeague starts today with the top two teams from the regional group stages facing off in the Monster Energy studio for a spot at the main event, Dreamhack Winter hosted in Jönköping, Sweden. Out of the eight invited teams, only six will advance to the main event. All the games will be casted by The GD Studio.

Studio matches:
The studio matches will take place from today (17 November) to the 23rd. The matches will be played in a best of two round robin format, the top six teams advance to the main event. The first game will be between MVP.Pheonix and Virtus.pro at 14:00 (CET/GMT+1)

Main Event:

The main event will be held at DreamHack Winter in Jönköping, Sweden from the 27th to November 29th. The teams who are ranked third to sixth in the studio matches will start by playing in a double elimination bracket, two teams will be eliminated and two teams will proceed to face the teams which ranked first and second in the studio matches in another double elimination bracket, winner takes home the $40 000 first prize reward.

3rd: $12 500
4th: $7500
5th: $5000
6th: $5000
7th: $3000
8th: $2000
