Following the recent matchfixing scandal and the subsequent player bans and removals that followed, Filipino eSports flagship Mineski has announced a near-total revamp of its DotA 2 squad, spearheaded by two new faces.
Seemingly unsatisfied with its roster prior to the matchfixing scandal that swept across different Southeast Asian teams, Filipino team Mineski has announced an all-new lineup, announcing the first two players, and teasing to reveal the rest in the following days.
Filipino Jaysie 'Jayjay' Garan, who recently joined Mineski back in October, will be joined by Malaysian Siong Tait 'Johnny' Lee, formerly of teams Arrow Gaming and Johnny's Revenge, as the first two of Mineski's brand-new roster to be announced.
Johnny was recently seen standing in for Mineski in its recent matches, accompanied by his fellow Malaysian Chuan 'ahfu' Tue, who is rumored to be included in the final roster.
Alongside ahfu, Ryan Jay 'Bimbo' Qui and Ralph Richard 'RR' Peñano, two players from Execration, are among the popular candidates rumored to be included in Mineski's final lineup.
The arrival of new blood, however, came with a price: long-time Mineski player Jessie 'JessieVash' Cuyco, along with new arrival Prieme 'PlayHard' Banquil, were removed from Mineski's DotA 2 squad.
Stay tuned for updates as Mineski slowly reveals its brand-new roster in the coming days.
