Over the past week, BeyondTheSummit held the qualifiers for the main stage of the regional divisions for The Summit 2. Team DK and LGD.CDEC emerged victorious in the Chinese division, followed by ROOT Gaming and Flipside.na in the American division. Today, the qualifiers concluded with BBC and KPG advancing in the European divison.
The Summit two will enter its main stage, following the conclusion of the regional qualifiers. The first team to qualify for the main stage was Team DK. The newly reformed team was able to pull ahead in the round-robin groupstage and received a direct invite to the main stage. The remaining four Chinese teams played out a single elimination playoff bracket which saw LGD.CDEC emerge victorious without dropping a single map.
The North-American division only played out the single elimination playoff bracket and ROOT Gaming as well as Flipside.na advanced to the main stage, both with clean records as well. The final regional qualifier, the European division, concluded today and Kompas Gaming took down xGame.kz and Team Coast to advance, whereas Balkan Bears Corleone fought their way through mYinsanity and Lajons to make it to the main stage.
The main stage of The Summit 2 qualifiers will commence tomorrow with the South-East Asian division kicking off since they did not hold qualifiers. The first match will see Zephyr take on MiTH.Trust at 10.45 CEST.
