The American groupstage of StarLadder X is now over, and four squads have managed to secure a spot in the playoffs. EG, Na'Vi.US, Sneaky Nyx Assassins and Not Today are the challengers for the single ticket to Kiev and the offline finals of the tournament.
We have reached the conclusion of the groupstage of SLTV Star Series X America, and the four strongest squads have been decided. Out of the eight original participants, it's these four teams will now enter the upcoming double-elimination bracket of the playoffs, in pursuit of the precious spot in the LAN finals of Cyberarena, Kiev in October. The winner of the American playoffs will be joined by the top four European squads, two teams from China and one from SEA.
Much like the ninth season, Evil Geniuses managed to secure the first place with ease, winning 6/7 matches, dropping only one match to Sneaky Nyx Assassins. Both Na'Vi.US and Not Today collected five wins in total, but the squad from the United States earned the second place of the leaderboard due to their victory in the head-to-head match against the Peruvians. Last but not least, Sneaky Nyx Assassins will also advance to the playoffs with a total of four wins, with both Shadows of the Past and Union Gaming being one win away from challenging their spot.
The first two best-of-three battles of the playoffs will take place tonight, with EG taking on SNA at 22:00 CEST, followed by the face-off between Na'Vi.US and Not Today at 1:30 CEST. The matches will continue tomorrow with the first Lower Bracket round between the losers of today's games at 22:00 CEST, followed by the WB final at 1:30 CEST.
