Game Show League (GSL) will be hosts to a new intercontinental Dota 2 league, the finals of which will take place within DreamHack Moscow at Stadium Live, on September 13th and 14th.
Game Show League (GSL) has announced a new intercontinental league for Dota 2, which will be held this September 13th and 14th at DreamHack Moscow. The league will be held in several laps and will include four regional qualifying rounds - China, the USA, Europe and the CIS. Slots are preliminarily distributed in the following way:
- Europe and the CIS – 4 slots
- The USA – 1 slot
- China – 1 slot
Six teams from the qualifiers will make their trip to Stadium Live, Moscow on September 13-14 in an attempt to win the inuagural season of Game Show League. The prize pool of Game Show League Season 1 starts at $50,000 + 25% of Dota TV Tickets sales and it`ll continue to increase at the expense of partners of the tournament.
The LAN finale of Game Show League will further be played in two laps:
Lap 1 - Six teams will face each other in a bid to reach the finals from September 11-12 at CyberStadium.
Lap 2 - The semifinals and grand finals will be held from September 13-14 at Stadium Live within DreamHack Moscow.
Sergey Ovsyanik, representative of Game Show issued the following statement:
DreamHack is a marquee event for all of us. It`s a benchmark among eSports events. Therefore, the preparation has started a long time ago and speed only increases. It`s a great honour and responsibility for us to work with DreamHack team. That`s why we`ll do our best for the event to meet the standards of our Swedish colleagues.
Ticket details and policies will be revealed at a later date. Moreover, GSL is also planning to host two such events this year in Moscow.
