The latest Dota 2 main client update delivers the reward of stretch goal # 7 - the immortal treasures. There are also a change on how tournament drops and fantasy league works.
The newest Dota 2 main client update of about 260~ MB saw several updates. The tournament drop system is also changed, with a minimum of 500 spectators now required and the number of drops will be directly proportional to the number of viewers. As the previous patches, fixes were made on fantasy leagues. Compendium prediction results have also been rewarded.
The biggest news, however, is that the immortal treasures have been rewarded in the form of Immortal Strongboxes.There are 11 different immortal treasures, and everyone who opens their boxes is guaranteed to not have a duplicate among the first nine that they unlocked. No treasure key is needed to open the Immortal Strongbox. For comparison, there were five immortal items rewarded last year.
The nine different guaranteed hero immortals are for heroes Storm Spirit, Sniper, Lion, Axe, Puck, Crystal Maiden, Windranger, Tinker and Death Prophet. There are also two random bonus rewards, meaning you can get up to two immortal items per box, that may be obtained - a Dragon Knight and a Warlock immortal item.
You can get the immortal Strongboxes from the Compendium, and the number of chests that one can get depends on the level of that user's Compendium. A specific number is given up to level 100, and an additional box every 10 levels after that mark. Levels can be gained via performing tasks or buying Compendium points.
The immortal item rewards are set under Compendium stretch goal #7. Prior to this update, only the first five rewards have been delivered. While the earlier stretch goals were handed out in numerical order, the sixth reward of the all-random deathmatch game mode has been skipped this time.
