LGD punches ticket to Seattle, CIS drop down to lower bracket

Chinese juggernauts, LGD Gaming, have secured themselves a trip to The International Dota 2 Championships 2014 to be held at Key Arena, Seattle later this July.

Earlier today, LGD Gaming went up against CIS in the upper bracket finals of The International 2014 Chinese qualifiers wherein Yao and company have secured themselves a guaranteed trip to Seattle Chinese after defeating the latter in a one sided best-of-three match-up.

Interestingly, we saw LGD's carry player Xiaotuji aka Rabbit switch roles with Lin in the first game as he went mid with his Brewmaster whilst switching back to his original role of a safelane carry in game two with Shadow Fiend. CIS completely fell apart in both games even with Black^ leading the net worth at one point.

LGD's overall gameplay showcased more synergy as compared to their recent string of poor performances in other events, led the team all the way to a well deserved victory. They march into the grand finals wherein they await the winner between CIS and DT.NGC scheduled to be played tomorrow.

On the other end, Dream Time went up against TongFu.Wanzhou in the lower bracket so as to determine which of the two teams would face CIS in the lower bracket finals tomorrow. In yet another lop sided series, DT.NGC, as expected overwhelmed the newcomers in TongFu in two straight games, thereby proceeding to the next round.

TongFu stands eliminated from the qualifiers whilst DT.NGC will face of their strongest rivals in CIS tomorrow at 6.00 CEST. The winner will march on to the grand finals, and with a guaranteed trip to Seattle nonetheless, the two finalists will contest for the direct seed and wild card slot.
