We are halfway through the groupstage of the Balkan Championship 2014. Depending on the amount of points they gather, the 16 participants will qualify for the Upper Bracket or the Lower Bracket of the playoffs. All the teams originate from the Balkan peninsula.
The Balkan DotA2 Chamionship, a tournament hosted by the creators of the Bulgarian Amateur League, gives the chance to 16 teams from the Balkans to battle for the $1000 prize pool. The tournament started on April 24th, and the teams have already played most of their games in the groupstage. Depending on their final placement, they will either advance to the Upper or Lower Bracket of the playoffs, a system similar to The International 3.
