Pokerface upsets SEA, joins Invasion in ESL Asian finals

With two consecutive victories againt Everlast and Mineski, Pokerface earned a spot in the ESL Asian finals. Invasion is the second team to qualify after their victory againt RRQ. They are amongst the eight challengers in the battle for the ticket to Frankfurt.

The ESL One LAN finals are fast approaching, and eight of the strongest teams in the world will travel to Frankfurt, Germany to battle for the massive $150,000. the ESL organization gave the chance to all DotA teams, amateur and professional, to join Na'Vi and Alliance in the tournament finals, with extensive regional qualifiers for the East and West.

The ESL Battle Royale took place today, with eight teams from SEA and Korea fighting for two spots in the ESL Asian finals. Invasion and Pokerface managed to emerge victorious from Battle Royale, and they will join the remaining six participants of the Asian finals in the single elimination bracket that leads to Frankfurt.

These are the known participants of the ESL Asia finals:

Malaysia Titan
Malaysia Arrow
Singapore Scythe
South Korea MVP.Phoenix
Malaysia Invasion
South Korea Pokerface
China 2nd placer of Chinese qualifier
China 3rd placer of Chinese qualifier

The winner of the single elimination bracket will join Natus Vincere, Alliance, Fnatic and Team DOG in Commerzbank Arena finals. The main event will take place from 28th through 29th June, 2014, with a $150,000 prize pool.
