Scythe, Titan in best-of-five The Inaugural finals tonight

Streaking SEA teams Scythe and Titan will be facing off at 18:00 SGT (14:00 CET) tonight in the $3,000 finals of The Inaugural. The winner of the match will be the region's lone representative in The Summit Asia.

Both teams have been stellar in this tournament. Malaysian-team Titan finished both the group stage and the semifinals unscathed, not dropping even a single loss. Their 3-0 semifinals victory against Filipino-team Execration was also impressive. It was Execration who handed Scythe their only game loss in this tournament so far.

Despite dropping one game against Execration, Singaporean-team Scythe bounced back and won that series 2-1. Aside from that little kink in their record, Scythe's has been just as impressive as Titan, winning the rest of their group stage matches as well as their semifinal match without allowing the opposition to take a point.

One team will have to suffer a defeat tonight though. Heading into the match, both teams are streaking - Titan has an seven-match win streak while Scythe has six. Their history has shown that both teams can beat each other, with the two teams splitting their last six games. The Champion will receive $2,000, while the losing team in the finals will get $1,000. Aside from that, the winner of The Inaugural will be Southeast-Asia's lone representative in the upcoming Summit Asia.

The Summit Asia is the Asian qualifiers for The Summit. The Summit is BTS' first LAN event, scheduled for 5-8 June, and it will have at least a $50,000 prize pool. The two invited teams who have confirmed their attendance are Ukraine's Natus Vincere and China's team DK. Aside from The Summit Asia, there will also be an American and European qualifier.
