The second season of FragBite Masters will take place this month, with 14 teams competing for the a prize pool of at least 200.000 SEK (~$31,000). This season also includes an open qualifier for two spots in the tournament's consolidation stage.
The Swedish organization FragBite just announced another version of their tournament, a bit alterted from what we were used to. The gold medal of the previous season went to Alliance, while Fnatic, PR and Warmaker (Funzii's previous team) completed the final four.
For this season, FragBite invited 12 squads from Europe and America, which will be split into three groups of four. The top two squads of each group will advance to the playoffs, while the third and fourth will enter the consolidation stage. There, they will be joined by two more squads coming from open qualifiers, making a total of eight teams in the stage. These competitors will have to go through a single elimination bracket, fighting for the last two spots in the playoffs.
Each group will last for two days, with the first day including two best-of-one matches between two pairs of group members. The second day will always finish the group, with the group final and losers' match. An overview of the quite original brackets can be found below.
Group A - April 3rd/4th
Group B - April 5th/6th
Group C - April 10th/11th
