JoinDota League playoffs kick-off this week

The first season of JoinDotA league has come to an end, and the top four participants of each Regional Division will advance to the playoffs. Empire, Arrow and Liquid have already reached their respective regional grand final and expect to figure out their opponents.

The joinDotA league took-off in January, with over 30 participants battling for the first place in three different regions (Europe, America and SEA). The first team of each region moves straight to the Grand Finals,  and the second team advances to the Semi-Final. The third and fourth teams will have to face each other for the second Semi-Final spot.

Europe

The battle was fierce for the fourth position of the league, with Fnatic, RoX.KIS and Power Rangers fighting to qualify for the next round. Since Power Rangers tied with both Fnatic and RoX.KIS in their respective duels, the outcome of the clash between the two teams would decide the last finalist. In the end, the Russians were victorious, and will be facing PR during the playoffs. The winner of the match will go against Cloud9 for a chance to reach the regional grand final and Team Empire.

America

Much like Europe, the battle for the final ticket to the playoffs was intense, with CNB and the newcomers SNA+4 being tied with 9-9. Despite CNB's 2-0 victory against SNA+4 during the season, the tournament rules required a tie-breaker to solve the issue. In the end, SNA+4 took down CNB and will move to the next round to battle against Team eHug. Evil Geniuses finished second and will find out their opponent tomorrow, while Team Liquid secured a spot in the grand finals.

SEA

There were no ties for the south-eastern Asian region, with Arrow finishing first with an impressive 16-2, followed by Titan, Scythe and MiTH-Trust.  Orange and Mineski did not manage to qualify, since they both ended the season with 9-9, one less victory behind MiTH. However, if Mineski had managed to beat Orange even once in their best-of-two match, they'd be died with MiTH and would be able to qualify via a tie-breaker match.
