Alliance and Empire with roster additions for D2CL bronze final

Alliance and Empire have found themselves battling for third place in Dota 2 Champions League. Being disappointed with the losses in the semi finals and with some players unable to play, both teams will be adding a temporary player each for the match.

For the coming third place match between Alliance and Team Empire in Dota 2 Champions League, there will be slight roster adjustments where both teams will be using a temporary ringer. None of the players are permanently removed. During the past days, Alliance have been losing match after match, amongst others against Empire. There is no shame in losing to them in a single encounter as Empire have been striking back lately, but for the next encounter the Alliance have decided to take measurements to alter the odds, presumably to their favor.

Displeased with the performance of AdmiralBulldog, the Alliance management judged him unable to perform in his role. He will be taking a small break and instead they turn to a new hope, Gial Ackbar. Ackbar is well known in his local Mon Calamari scene, but yet has to break out on an international level. Being well connected with the organization of Alliance, he and the others decided on the temporary benching of Bulldog and the addition of Ackbar will reinforce the team and further inspire them towards victory against the Empire. The team is already practicing with him.

Empire will also be subject to roster adjustments. As Empire's carry player Silent will be unable to play the match due to him being out of the country for a couple of days, Empire contacted a wild card of their own. The outrunner, lately going by the handle Vader, was approached by the team recently and will be taking Silent's spot for the bronze final.

Not much noise have been heard regarding Vader lately and he was last seen coaching Mith, the Thai team. Due to Mith's results lacking lately, Vader was called in to help them stage a comeback in a local Thai tournament. He imbued the team with new successful strategies such as the force push, being able to break the enemy base in a very efficient way. For helping the team getting back up on their feet, Vader was announced as an honourable Mith lord and the comeback in which the team completely turned the disadvantage around was labelled "Revenge of the Mith" in the local eSports media.

Empire was lately seen scrimming with Vader, most known for his superior Meepo play, where he farms to a great efficiency very rapidly. Together with the other heroes in the team, the attack of the clones can break a base very early on in the game. The opposing team would need to commit several heroes and multiple buybacks to their barracks standing.

Vader is expected to fit well in the Empire roster as he has experience playing with some of their members. The otherwise mid player Resolution fought alongside Vader in the past as the two players played in the same team in the Endor Tournament. They qualified for the grand final but ultimately lost to Team Ewoks, lead by the now RoX.KiS player Solo.

Anahronix, Empire's manager, stated they need to win as many tournaments as possible before The International so even third place money is much welcome. They will be using the money earned to rebuild and complete their gaming house since the last one was destroyed by raging fans of Alliance.

Further complexity is added since the match is to be casted by Tobiwan. Vader stated in interviews that learned how to play Dota by listening to the casts of the Australian and it's rumoured that Tobiwan was in fact the one who taught Vader his elaborate force push tactics. Luminous, co-caster of the previous D2CL matches is expected to return to cast this match as well. While Tobi is enthusiastic about the new players, Luminous tweeted that he never heard of either of the two.

When learning about both Empire's counter plan towards Alliance's addition, GosuGamers approached Ackbar and asked him to give a statement regarding the matter. Not wanting to reveal too much information, he only gave us the short reply "It's a trap." The third place match has yet to have a date announced but is expected to be played before the grand final of Natus Vincere vs Cloud9.
