Valve introduces world MMR leaderboards

Several months after the introduction of Ranked Matchmaking, Valve decided to introduce new rating leaderboards, including the players with the highest solo MMR in America, China, SEA and Europe.

Valve, the company behind DotA2, has decided to satisfy one more request of the community and introduce a new feature - world leaderboards. As of today, the players with the highest Solo matchmaking rating (MMR) will be listed for each of the four DotA2 regions - America, Europe, China and Southeast Asia.

To be included in these lists, one must meet certain criteria :

  • 300 ranked/unranked games played.
  • 100 ranked games played.
  • 15 solo ranked games in the last 21 days.
  • Official player information must be available.

The leaderboards are updated daily at 22:00. If a player is eligible to appear on them, they will receive a notification with further instructions.

From a first look on today's leaderboards, one can notice many familiar names of the competitive DotA2 scene. For example, Artour 'Arteezy' Babaev currently sits on top of the American board, while Niklas 'Wagamama' Högström holds the first place in Europe.
