Star Series Season IX Europe Division - Weekly Recap

Another week has passed for the European Division of this season's Star Series, with Empire still undefeated and leading the race. Alliance, Na'Vi and Sigma complete the top-four that leads to the playoffs, but there is still a lot of time for the others to catch up.

As other Divisions of Star Series Season IX have already reached the regional playoffs, their European counterpart still has a long way to go. Some of the competitors have already shown their teeth, gathering a vast amount of points required to finish in the top-four positions that lead to the LAN finals.

Much like the previous week, Empire are undefeated with 7-0, showing no mercy against their opposition in Star Series. Behind them, there is Alliance, with 6-2, after dropping a game to both Na'Vi and Cloud9. Sitting on the third place, we have Na'Vi, the Season VIII champions, currently 5-1 after losing to Empire. Sigma completes the final-four with 4-2, defeated by Empire and the underdogs Ahead Gaming. However, Sigma shares their spot with Power Rangers and Relax, and the tie will probably be solved in the following weeks.

The matches of the European Division will resume on March 19th, with The Retry facing RoX.KIS (17:00 CET) and Fnatic (18.45 CET), Alliance battling Virtus.Pro once again this week (19.30 CET), and Cloud9 taking on Power Rangers (20.45 CET). As usual, all the matches are best-of-one.

Live broadcasting of all the games will be provided by Beyond the Summit in English, Starladder.tv in Russian, and LGD.tv in Mandarin.
