Utilizing Medusa and Pudge, Na`Vi annihilated Team Empire last night in the WB semis of WePlay Season Two to move onto the winner bracket final where they will once again play their nemesis, Team Alliance.
Both Na`Vi and Alliance have played each other thrice since the conclusion of The International 3 in early August. They first met in the groupstage of Star Series VII and Na`Vi was able to take the match convincingly. Moving on, they met each other twice in the offline finals of Star Series VII and while both of them won one match each, Na`Vi secured the more important grand final series to be crowned the champion of Star Series VII.
What makes this match an interesting one to watch is the introduction of the 6.79 patch into the mix. Both teams have showed some degree of adaptation in the past couple of days and while it is too early to judge, the patch does slightly favour Na`Vi's chaotic and aggressive playstyle. At the time of publish, the Gosubet odds are slightly in favour of Na`Vi with 56% of all branches placed on them.
The winner of this match-up will secure their spot for the grand final of WePlay Season Two while the loser will have to battle Team Liquid for the same spot. Yesterday, Team Liquid beat Team Empire to advance into the loser bracket final with a guaranteed third place finish.
The match is set to begin at 17:00 CEST and will be streamed by BeyondTheSummit.
