iG snaps DK's undefeated streak in D2L week two

LGD is still on top of the leaderboard as the second week of D2L Season 4 ends. Some of the highlights of the week include iG snapping DK's undefeated 20-0 streak since early September and TongFu's dramatic drop to fifth place.

The second week of D2L Eastern Division had come to an end with LGD.cn having a huge lead in the standings after their victory against TongFu and RisingStars. LGD.cn started out the week in a bad shape as TongFu or more specifically Xun Tao 'XTT' Xu played phenomenally on the Timbersaw. Dropping game one, LGD.cn was set to get back at TongFu for their disappointing performance and subsequently took game two and game three to win the series.

With the patch kicking in a day into the playtime, LGD.cn was the first to show real adaptation to the map, picking up Night Stalker and running the offensive trilane. Despite that, the strat did not work out but LGD.cn was able to hang onto their barracks against an overfarmed Jia Jun 'Sylar' Liu's Phantom Lancer and capitalized on Rstars' mistakes before going in for the win. The ordeal took LGD.cn over 60 minutes to settle. Game two was fortunately very one-sided for LGD.cn.

The dream team DK on the other hand, had their undefeated streak from WPC-ACE League and week one of D2L snapped by Invictus Gaming earlier today. Either it is because of the patch or not, Cen 'YYF' Jiang played a great initiating Nyx Assassin in game one and an incredible Clockwerk in game two to cause chaos in DK's formation. DK then went on to face TongFu at 09:00 CEST. This time, DK was a little more prepared, opting for 6.79-oriented heroes and eventually took the match 2-1.

As a result, DK, Invictus Gaming and Vici Gaming share second placing in the standings while former first placer, TongFu drops to fifth place with two losses to their name this week. Scrapping the bottom of the table is LGD.Int (0-3), Rattlesnake (0-2), and RisingStars who lost the only game they played in.

Week three of D2L Season 4 will begin on the 27th of October with Invictus Gaming versus RisingStars to start. All the VODs made available can be found in our coverage hub here.
