DK and TongFu will join six western teams in Korea for Nexon Invitational Super Match, beginning on the 28th of October. The teams will be joined by four Korean teams and separated into groups. The top placers of each group will walk away with $15,000.
Despite confusion over the past few weeks, Nexon finally confirmed that DK will indeed be participating in the event alongside their countrymen, TongFu. DK and TongFu will be the only two representing the East while six other Western teams including Alliance have been invited.
Participating teams:
Dignitas
Team Liquid
Fnatic
Speed Gaming
Virtus.Pro
Alliance
Team DK
TongFu
Each week, two international teams will be put together alongside one of the top four teams from Nexon Sponsorship League S1 twice in a round robin group. The top placer of the group will walk away with $15,000 in cash prize in a winner-takes-all fashion.
According to Hyungjin 'core' Ahn of Thisisgame.com, invited teams will have time to rest and practice while only competing in two of the seven days they will be residing in Korea. All the playdays are set to begin at 12:00 CEST every Monday and Thursday. The event is set to begin on the 28th of October.
All Nexon Invitational Super Match games will be streamed on AfreecaTV, an equivalent of Twitch.TV in Korea. No English broadcasters have been officially announced, but we have reached out to BeyondTheSummit for further confirmation.
