LGD and TongFu lead, two days into D2L Season 4 East Division

Boasting a $50,000 prize pool and a LAN finals which will be held in Las Vegas, the Dota 2 League has just begun less than a week ago. Even so, it has it has not been short-lived, with sponsorship issues and TongFu along with LGD.CN topping the leaderboards.

Split into two the East and West divisions, teams from each division will compete in Round Robin style matches. From there, the top two teams from each division will be invited to participate in the LAN Grand Finals, held in Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas, America. With the progression so far, LGD.CN as well as TongFu are leading with 6 points each in the East Division. Teams from the West Division have not started their matches yet, and a schedule for them will be out on November 4th.

Sponsorship issues have cropped up and has affected the scheduling for the East Division, as the largest sponsor for the WPC-ACE league has expressed their demands for any Dota 2 League matches not to take place on the ACE League broadcast days. This comes even in spite of broadcast timings not clashing on the day itself, and instead of two matches a day, five days a week there will be three matches a day, two days a week.

With the more dominating performances as of late, LGD.CN and TongFu have so have been going 3-0 each so far within the tournament, and it is slated that perhaps only iG can knock them off their perch. Fans favourites DK are currently 1-0, but expect to see them climb up the scoreboard as well, with their recent superb performance of 16-0 at the WPC-ACE League. DK is currently placed third in the standings with only one game played and won against LGD.Int. They will be playing more games in the upcoming playdays next week. won 2-0. More appearances will be made by them in the upcoming gamedays.

With the situation that has cropped up regarding tournament scheduling, this has resulted in the games that was supposed to take place on the 17th,18th and 19th of October to be pushed forward till Monday, 21st October. From then on, the schedule will continue to run as per the new timings once again. This scheduling conflict will not affect the West Division, in any way.

LGD.CN's sister team however, are on the other side of the table, losing all three of their match-ups. More surprisingly is the way they lost the games because they would often lead in the early phase and crumble in mid-game. As a result, they are trailing 1-6, winning one game against TongFu in the D2L, and will need to start winning their next few matches in order to qualify for the bubble race.
