Compendium sixth goal breached, an extra million to TI3

The sixth goal of the Compendium was achieved earlier today and all Compendium owners will now receive an Immortal item. The total prize pool of The International 3 now stands a little over 2.6 million dollars.

In just three weeks and four days after the unlocking of the fifth goal, the sixth goal of the Compendium has been breached and the total prize pool of The International 3 now stands a little over 2.6 million dollars, 1 million more than the initial 1.6 million dollars prize pool.

The sixth milestone will be granting every Compendium user an "Immortal" in-game item. No details were spared on what Valve is cooking up but with more than 400,000 Compendium purchased, Valve sure need to have a brain-storming session to think of something exclusive.

While disappointing, the seventh goal seems far-fetched and will need another 260,000 Compendium purchase, about 3/5 of the current purchase, to reach. This means we will not get the hero of our choice produced but for all the Techies lover out there, here's a snippet of the code Reddit user Psychonic found regarding the status of the suicide bomber. This indicates that Valve is currently working on Techies.

It is unknown how Valve will distribute the said prize pool in The International 3 but a portion of it may be allocated to the 1v1 tournament. More information on the 1v1 tournament here.

For the sale 400,000th Compendium, Valve has earned a gross profit of four million and the extra 1.4 million dollars (minus prize pool) will go into the hosting of the tournament as well as the tickets and accommodation of players.
