iCCup vs Empire live

The second upper bracket round 1 match is going off the charts now with two CIS teams going up against each other, it is iCCup versus Team Empire.

iCCup is a team on the rise lately, they have players who have been active in the scene for quite some time now such as Alwayswannafly, Jackal and most noticeably Mag who played for Darer at The International last year. They won their group in The Defense and went on to also master their group here in Corsair Gaming Summer Tournament where they had acclaimed teams such as Virtus.pro and RoX.KiS for opponents. 

Team Empire is a team with a recent history full of struggles, tracking back to when Funn1k left the team to join Natus Vincere at the end of February. Vigoss was brought in as the fifth player but he later went inactive when Goblak and Silent left the team. LightofHeaven, twiSta and Mitch were the official replacements, however things did not work out well and results were massively lacking. Since then Fng and Sunlight have been playing as stand-ins instead of twiSta and Mitch and things are on an uprising lately. They ended up taking second place of their group, losing only to mousesports.

As always with CIS matches, there is a bit of rivalry going on, nothing less is expected today. Empire are looking to prove they are still a name in the Dota 2 scene, in a match where they are the underdogs even if iCCup is not a by many (yet) recognized team. It will be a battle of underdogs and there is no way to predict how the games will go, both teams have to refine their styles although iCCup have been heavily favoured playing Weaver. Jackal plays that hero with near perfect execution and will most likely be seen handling it in at least one of the games tonight.
