TPL Season V Daedalus Cup kicks off today, with Quantic facing RoX.KIS in the opening match at 14:00 CEST, followed by Mouz vs Virtus.Pro at 15.00 CEST, Fnatic vs Kaipi at 16:00 CEST, and Alliance vs EG at 17:00 CEST. The cup will have its final match at 21:00 CEST that is the Grand Final, while the third place will be decided an hour before.
Alliance is currently leading the tournament with 350 points, and regardless of all possible outcomes, [A] has guaranteed itself a spot in the playoffs. However, no other team holds a guaranteed spot, with Evil Geniuses being the second team of the rankings with 190 points. The odds can even allow RoX.KIS, currently with 0 points, to reach the playoffs. However, it is safe to say that EG, Mousesports and Virtus.Pro are currently the favorites according to the rankings to win a spot, while Fnatic tailing closely behind to make it to the top-four.
The Daedalus Cup matches will be played in a best-of-one format, with the exception of the final which is best-of-three.
