NeoES.Orange takes down LGD.Int to qualify for Super League playoffs

NeoES.Orange overpowered LGD.int, winning the best of three match and qualifying for the playoffs. The final phase of the tournament will begin on June 27, with the four finalists battling for a spot in the grand final.

It took three games for the Malaysian superstars NeoES.Orange to take down LGD.int. With Mushi setting the stage for what a good leader should behave in every game, Orange are now a part of the playoffs along with DK, Tongfu and LGD.cn.

With their defeat, LGD.int burned the 8337 branches of the 57 people who had bet on them. Orange, gaining the 65% of all bets, rewarded those who trusted them with their win.

The playoffs will begin on Thursday 27th of June. The first match will be between TongFu and NeoES.Orange on the 27th of June while the second semi-finals between DK and LGD.cn will take place on the 28th. The third placer will be played on the 29th of June while the schedule and location for the grand final have not been disclosed yet.

We are attempting to contact Gamefy for more details on the offline grand final.

Match report

Game 1

Orange based most of their damage on the high AOE damage combo of Outworld Devourer and Dark Seer. LGD.int responded with an Antimage and Lifestealer draft, sending God's Nyx Assassin against Mushi, realising that Nyx Assassin is the only hero that can stand against Mushi's Outworld Devourer and not completely lose the middle lane fight.

The first blood was drawn by Ohaiyo three minutes in, when Brax misscalculated his movements and died to Ion Shell. LGD.int responded with a 3-man smoke gank against Mushi, with Net dying as well in his attempt to bail his teammate out of trouble.

The game lacked action for almost the entire early and middle game phases, with both teams getting average trades. Pajkatt's Antimage finished his Battlefury by minute 16, while Mushi finished his hex four minutes later. The score was 8-10 favoring Orange when the first half an hour passed, but the following minutes brought many clashes with them.

Orange decided to get more aggressive, visiting the Roshan Pit 39 minutes into the game. LGD.int responded with a smoke gank, attempting to steal the Roshan and apply some pressure themselves. The result was disastrous for the international squad, as the narrow space of the Roshan pit was ideal for Mushi's Sanity Eclipe, giving him a triple kill and winning the Malaysians a 4-0 fight. They also managed to kill three more heroes faking a retreat combined with a Smoke Gank.

The advantage gained by the previous encounter gave Orange enough momentum for them to move inside LGD.int base, taking two more kills and the bottom barracks. LGD.int forced another fight with 42 minutes on the clock, but Mushi managed to kite Pajkatt impressively, using the Cheese, one hit before the end, winning another 4-0 fight for his team. Orange entered the base once again, taking the middle barracks and severely damaging the top set as well.

Not all was lost for LGD.int. Realising that most of Orange's damage was based on Mushi's spells, they decided to take drastic measures against the hero - God bought a Blink Dagger, helping Brax's Lifestealer get close to Mushi quickly. This tactic improved their teamfight capabilities, helping them take down Mushi for a 3-3 trade as Orange was pushing the top lane for Super Creeps.

The Malaysians decided to play safely, to prevent the comeback threat from LGD.int. Using yet another Smoke of Deceit, they managed to catch Pajkatt and Brax out of position while they were killing Roshan, winning a 2-0 fight and stealing both Roshan and the Aegis. Capitalizing on the situation, they rushed to the top lane, winning a big 4-0 fight inside LGD.int base, getting the super creeps and their first win.

Game 2

?

The hostility by LGD.int started really early, with 1437's Visage grabbing the first blood on Mushi's Shadow Fiend with the help of God's Puck just before the first minute. Shadow Fiend died once again three minutes later, forcing him to abandon the lane and move to mid.

The Malaysian roster could not find a moment of peace with their fragile line-up, achieving only bad trades. The score was 6-14 with 20 minutes on the clock. Four minutes later, Mushi's late Black King Bar usage cost them another 3-0 fight.

It did not take long for LGD.int to finish the game. They proceeded to enter the Roshan pit, helping them win another 4-1 fight under the middle tier-one of Orange, just as the game reached the 30th minute mark.

The pressure was just too much for Orange, and they decided to call the game with their barracks getting destroyed by LGD.int, with a finishing score of 30-9.

Game 3

?

Orange surprised with the Razor pick-up, used to counter the Lifestealer and Gyrocopter at LGD.int's side. The presence of Dark Seer for the Radiant and Magnus for the Dire brought up hopes for really high teamfight potential from both sides.

The game started really well for the international squad, as they managed to grab the first blood and a six-minute 3-1 fight with a double kill for Gyrocopter. The early ganks worked really well for LGD.int, but they were not enough to secure the early game domination.

A fight took place with 12 minutes on the clock, with Orange catching Brax and Pajkatt completely out of position. With the full LGD.int squad rushing to save their teammates, the gank on two turned into a complete teamwipe and a 5-0 fight for Orange. This successful encounter fully changed the balance of the game, with Mushi's Razor getting a triple kill.

LGD.int never recovered since their mistake. A 20-min Roshan boosted Orange's heroes even more, and they decided to start pressuring the middle lane to seal the deal. However, the Malaysians were only able to get some single pickoffs here and there for quite a long period of time. Mushi had the opportunity to complete his farm, buying a Butterfly and a Satanic.

It was time for Orange to finish what they had started. Another visit to the Rosh pit gave them the confidence to breach LGD.int's base. After several sloppy attempts, a good Reverse Polarity by Kyxy's Magnus devastated LGD.int's defenses, and the continuous buybacks only resulted in more kills. Mushi seemed impossible to kill as he was taking down the middle and bottom barracks. With the last set going down, LGD.int knew it was too late for them to stage a comeback - they decided to forfeit the game, and their hopes for the Super League playoffs.
