Curse Invitational won by Team Liquid

Team Liquid, starting off with a one game advantage in the grand final, took down Team Dignitas in the grand final of Curse Dota 2 Invitational.

For their first placing in the three weeks long tournament, Team Liquid will receive $5,000 in cash while Team Dignitas will have to settle for $3,000. Third placer, RoX.KIS will be given $2,000 for their deep run in the tournament.

Natus Vincere, the supposed third placer of the tournament, was disqualified from Curse on Friday after one of Na`Vi players allegedly told the organizers that they will be participating in Techlabs Cup on Saturday. A breakdown in communication seems to have happened between both the parties as there would not be a time clash with their Techlabs game being played on daytime and Curse WB Final would not start till late evening.

“It's clear that the team will be able to play from Minsk, especially when we factor in the time frames for the matches - the game at TECHLABS will be played in the first half of the day while the rivalry against Team Liquid is scheduled late in the evening” stated Na`Vi.

As a result, Team Dignitas were given a second chance at the WB final and RoX.KIS, then eliminated at fourth place received a second chance to take a stab at the $10,000 prize pool.

1st place: United States Team Liquid - $5,000
2nd place: United States Team Dignitas.Dota2 - $3,000
3rd place: Russia RoX.KIS.Dota2 - $2,000
