Escape Gaming - syndereN and qojqva interview from TI6
The mastermind behind Escape Gaming’s Dota 2 team, Troels 'syndereN' Nielsen has been looking to rejoin the competitive scene for more than a year. In an interview we conducted with him in April 2015 at StarLadder XII he expressed his intentions of making a comeback. It was just a matter of finding the correct time frame and the right players to build a new team. Back then not many would have believed that the TI 5 grand finals commentator will actually switch the casting desk for the players’ booths for the next TI.
It was only in February this year when syndereN announced his new team that would aim for TI6, No Diggity. Started without any sponsors, No Digitty conquered the Dota 2 fans’ hearts very fast due to their well known trio of Era, qojqva and synd, all coming back after a break from the competitive scene. In just a few months they integrated and adapted the other two players, KheZu and yapzOr and successfully grinded their way to Seattle. Their full commitment for a common goal came not only with a place into the Main Event of TI6 but also with an organization that now takes care of them and makes sure they do have a future as a team after this TI, namely Escape Gaming.
During the press day at TI6 GosuGamers had the chance to sit and talk with Escape Gaming’s captain, Troels 'syndereN' Nielsen and the team’s mid laner Max 'qojqva' Bröcker. What they have to say a day before playing on the big scene in KeyArena and how do they feel returning at the biggest eSports event of the year can be found in the video below.
