The South Asian DotA star reveals his views about his strategies, team and the South Asian DotA scene.
ShadowPlay Gaming is one of the top teams in South Asia. With a top 3 spot in the recent South Asian Kings Tournament and an attendance in the WCG Singapore they are undoubtedly in the rise for fame and fortune. Gosugamers got into touch with the Captain of the team SP|Werewolf to get to know more about ShadowPlay and South Asian DotA.
Hi Werewolf, most of the non South Asian players wouldnt know much about you, so tell us something about yourself.
-Hi, I am Mohd. Shajjadur Rahman aka WeRewOLF, I am 21 years old, captain of ShadowPlay, playing Dota for around 2.5 years, currently studying ETE.
Tell us something about your team and team mates, the role of each player and anything special about them.
-First of all I would like to thank HTH and XLU Gaming, we wouldn’t have been here without your support and your trust in us.
My team currently consists of 6 players Sn4k3y, masterpiece, CLOSER, m3ntholl3d, LasT.WorD and me.
The best part of the team is that we are very good friends, though we are all not of the same age, we have fun both in game and out of game.
Me, Sn4k3y and masterpiece have formed this team from the beginning of our Dota carrier and have been leading our team successfully this far. 
Sn4k3y: 2nd ganker, farmer when needed, has an awesome ability to fight under pressure (FOSU the GOSU guy of our team :P)
Masterpiece: main carry of the team, a devastating player to solo against ( hot chick of the team :P)
Closer: semi-carry, carries when needed, a player with high potential and plenty of skills ( 14year old Black Kid :P)
M3ntholl3d: 1st support of the team, imba warder, usually lanes with closer. (The cool fat guy of the team- KUKU)
LasT.Word: 2nd supported of the team, warder/ganker (The tall, handsome, confidence builder of the team)
Me: 1st ganker/ supporter, strategy caller of the team, what to tell about myself < Pro at birth :P

Did you play any games before DotA? What drew your attention to DotA?
-Before Dota I used to play CS, normal warcraft. Some friends introduced me to DOTA, and after the 1st time I played it I really enjoyed it and left other games and spent more of my gaming time on DOTA.
What are your views about the DotA scene in Bangladesh and also in overall South Asia?

-The Dota scene in Bangladesh is poor as there are less number of professional teams here, but this is going to change in a very short period of time,
The level of Dota in South Asia is good, Internet issues and lack of sponsors is the main problem.

What are your views about the other strong DotA teams of South Asia like Error and TW? What do you think makes SP different from these teams?
-We got exposure mainly after the Imbagamer tourney at India, followed by SAKT and the WCG this year, which means that we are into professional Dota just for a year. We need some time to prove ourselves and show that we also belong to the same hood.
We have played against Error in the SAKT; Error is a very strong team and a team with high team chemistry. We haven’t played against TW yet so don’t know much about them.
Yes SP is different from these teams, because we have our unique style of playing with different strategies applied.

How much do you practise daily?
-Daily practice is not fixed, usually 5-6 hours of Dota, before tourneys 8-10 hrs or maybe more of practice.
What are your views about the new map?
-I think dota is being more stable day by day, the game is being more competitive with every patch released, there are different types of heroes nowadays in different combos, the new map suits our team good and we are pretty confident on it.
Any suggestions or ideas about the improvement of DotA in South Asia?
-The internet connection should be fixed so that we could play lag less not only in Asia also in Europe, Frequent tournaments should be organised where all South Asian teams could participate to increase the competitiveness of DOTA. Sponsorship/ lack of sponsors is one of the most important issues behind the improvement/ development of DOTA in South Asia.

Do you plan to attend more
International Tourneys in the future, or are you satisfied with attending South Asian tourneys?

-We are never satisfied with only participating in South Asian tourneys; we always look forward to participating International Tourneys. Someday if we get a sponsor we will surely be more than happy to attend International Tourneys.
What are your thoughts on the International DotA scene? Are you a fNatic fanboy or a MYM Supporter?
-About the international Dota scene nothing can be said, there are many ups and downs and lots of transfers recently. You cannot bet on a team now as there is lots of inconsistency.
I am more of a MYM supporter than a fNatic fanboy. I am desperately waiting for SMM, and hope fnatic could attend it. Whereas Asia vs Europe is concerned, we have to wait and watch and put our fingers crossed.

Thank you for your time, any shoutouts to all the fans and DotA players who are reading this interview?
-XLU: SP RULEZ.
Shout outs to HTH all members of XLU and all our fans without their support we wouldn’t have gone so far. I would also wish the X-SP members GoodLuck. WOLF < 3 ^K
