Metagame: Jungling changes in 6.72 and beyond.

.

Dead corpses no longer block neutral creeps from spawning.

Any neutral creep killed leaves a corpse behind for 20 seconds. This corpse used to block the spawn of neutral creeps, but not anymore. A great buff to junglers.
Many junglers had some speed problems when jungling: after the initial levels,
they killed all of the neutral creeps before the respawn time, making them lose
1 or 2 neutral spawns every minute due to the corpses of the farmed creeps. With this change, even the
fastest jungle farmers won't ever run out of camps to farm and, moreover, a fast jungler is now able to
establish a spot of 3 camps to farm non-stop.

Most known junglers buffed - utterly, in many cases.
Most known jungling heros include Axe, Beastmaster, Bristleback, Centaur Warchief, Dark Seer Holy Knight, Enchantress, Enigma, Prophet, Lycanthrope, Lifestealer, Ursa Warrior, Tidehunter.

Now, if one takes a close look at the 6.72 changelog, one will notice that every single hero mentioned was buffed in one way or another. Now, buffing junglers doesn't really have to make the hero able to farm the jungle easier, or hasten up his farm speeds.
Many of the junglers were not being used because they actually were too underpowered to compete with other heros, but as we can see, IceFrog's attempt to make a lot of heros worthy in the competitive scene has brought some really noticable buffs, like the new, actually offensively usable, ultimate of Lifestealer, improved Wolves on Lycanthrope and the new, Aghanim's-buffed Ultimate of Dark Seer.

Generic/Gameplay and Item changes and their impact upon jungling.
In 6.72, 7 melee heroes and 2 ranged ones have recieved a buff upon their regeneration speed.

- Melee-wise, Axe and Juggernaut can be used as full time junglers,
while Venomancer has also been used as a jungler using his Wards.

- The addition of two more heroes into the competitive pool, Nerubian Assassin and
Shadow Demon, who are commonly used as solos might also make a team who want to use
those heroes use a jungler, so they can get an extra solo lane.

Moving on to items, we see items commonly used by junglers being buffed - hard!

- Long forgotten Hand of Midas has been reworked.

It now gives reliable gold, has no mana cost and most importantly now gives a constant
amount of Gold (190) which is actually pretty close to the maximum amount of gold one could have
from old midas - 208 used on a Hellcaller, but it's more than two times the benefit of using it on a
"small" neutral creep like Kobold Tunneller and Satyr Trickster.

- Quelling blade is now sellable.

A significant buff since if one bought Quelling, he'd have to just drop it somewhere when he
was done using it - thus, not getting 100% benefit from an early game item.

- Vladmir's Offering reworked.

Now it also provides 2 HP Regeneration per second, on top of everything else it adds. Many
melee junglers can benefit greatly from this item, especially now that Ring of Regeneration's bonus stays even after the completion of the recipe

- Veil of discord's addition.

It's a really interesting item since its components are really usable on jungle, especially
the Helm of Iron Will, with the regen and armor it provides, and the Robes of the magi
can provide a nice amount of mana and mana regeneration and, in the case of Intelligence
based heroes, damage.

- Sange and Yasha reworked.

The orb effect was removed from Sange and Yasha, which is the best buff this item could
hope for. It's an item that was commonly seen on junglers like Lycanthrope. Now, this buff can actually
start a revolution based on mid game carries having this as a core!

All in all, jungling has been buffed to such an extent it can even be called a revamp,
opening up space for a lot of new possible strategies. From fast-pushing with creep
domination, all the way down to turtling with one jungling carry, one could say that
junglers have never seen a patch to favour them as much as 6.72!
