He will also be attending the Tannenbusch Gymnasium school of sports to continue his studies at the same time

Sprout, a Germany-based esports team, has announced that they have signed up Mert Can “Kyuubii” Ali to their roster as their sixth player. At the same time, the 16-year-old will be continuing his education at the Tannenbusch Gymnasium, an elite sports school in Germany, as their first esports athlete student.

"Today is a very special day for us as we facilitate an extraordinary approach of talent promotion. We are aiming to allow kyuubii sound education and growth in esports.

"Both of our coaches, Niclas Krumhorn and Jan Westerheide, are going to work with him intensively to teach him tactical knowledge, necessary communication skills, and team play. He will also regularly attend training and theory lessons and join us for bootcamps to give him all the insights he needs. " - Sprout manager Daniel Paulus

At this point of time, kyuubii will be gaining playing experience as subs for other team members who are prevented from playing due to "health issues or private affairs," as well as offer him the ability to play in the German championship.

This announcement is a great sign of acceptance by sports schools of esports athletes, as well as showing the world that younger players can be trained in the game while still continuing their studies, without sacrificing a high-quality education. We wish all the best for both Sprout as well as Kyuubii.
